Write,
to write :
“To compose, to arrange words into sentences
and send (a letter, a thought) to someone.”
Haemin Sunim’s has a saying on his
“Love for Imperfect Things” book that implies something like this : if you ever
hear a voice-any voice that says you can’t write, then by all means, write!
John C. Maxwell also explains about
the law of diminishing intent on his “The 15 Invaluable Laws of Growth” book
which said that the longer you wait to do something you want to do, the greater
the odds that you will never actually do it. He also said that “later” is one
of those dream killers so because I don’t want my dream to be killed thus I
write this blog. No JK, I just have this dream of writing for a long time
already and I realize that now is
the time for me to start doing it instead of just “planning” all along. I begin
“mind-mapping”, shaping my way into it but first of all, I start to take
writing seriously. I asked people for feedback, I start to read many books as a
material for my writings, I set aside my time to write. I stay at home. Thankfully
my study time is at dawn so it doesn’t hinder anything.
Writing has been a part of me since
2016. I wrote almost everyday. It started off as a diary-just like everyone,
then I developed my love for poetry so I wrote lots of them. Then all of these
motivation-filled books started to emerge and I found it to my liking,so I
start to write any article of that kind.
Writing calms me. Pouring my heart and
thoughts into sentences satisfies me. It soothe me like nothing ever could. I
also write when I’m upset or even angry, and those feelings dissipate
instantly. All gone in a blink of an eye. It made me feel better.
One of the feedback that I appreciate
the most was the one my senior said to me. I sent my writings to him, and he
said to me “I understand your point, but I couldn’t recognize some of the words
that you use there. Some of the word structures were unfamiliar, yet strangely
interesting. How could you produce such sentences? You must have been writing
for a long time already, haven’t you? Because that kind of things can only be
written by a long-time writer.” such compliment came from my senior whom I know
the most that he himself is an avid reader, so he should not be that unfamiliar
with word structures. Well, I read-watched movies-and wrote a lot too, so all
three combined makes me who I am today.
A keen writer.
